Our Telemetry System acquires field data via 3rd-party hardware using standard or custom protocols. The Pipeline Telemetry System is based upon the SCADA software package. It can run on a number of different operating systems such as QNX, LINUX, UNIX and MS-Windows.
Pipeline Integrity Monitoring is a feature built on top of the Pipeline Telemetry System. The Pipeline Integrity System (PLIS) monitors the pipeline conditions and carries out calculations to determine if there is a leak in the pipeline.
This is achieved by the PLIS algorithm developed and implemented by Rhodes oilfield Services Limited.
Our SCADA System is designed to provide industrial companies of all sizes with agile control and monitoring over both engineering and runtime operations to significantly improve performance and achieve a lower cost of ownership. SCADA systems are used to monitor and control a plant or equipment in industries such as transportation, telecommunications, water and waste control, energy, oil and gas etc.
These systems encompass the transfer of data between a SCADA central host computer and a number of Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and/or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
FPSO Excursion Monitoring Systems
The Excursion Monitoring System is currently deployed in the UK North Sea and in the Western Australia part of the Indian Ocean.
The Excursion Monitoring System monitors the position of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel using a combination of Dynamic Global Positioning System (DGPS) and vessel heading information.
The system displays the position and orientation of the vessel relative to an excursion envelope and uses a snail trail to show the history of past movements.
FPSO / Shuttle Tanker Offloading Systems (STOTS)
STOTS is used during offloading operations to help the FPSO and the Shuttle Tanker personnel manage the process safely. The STOTS system is used to accurately monitor the relative positions of the FPSO and a Shuttle Tanker. The system can also be used to communicate an emergency shutdown signal from the Shuttle Tanker to the FPSO.
Technical Software Development
Software development is ROS’s core competence. Our team provides software for various platforms: MS-Windows, QNX, LINUX and UNIX. Our team has supplied software for; Down Hole Data Visualization, Sliding Sleeve Analysis, and Seismic Data Processing.
